The Orange Macaroon Cake.
A day home from kinder is an opportunity to bake a treat! Four year old Taite (and soon to be 5), is more than happy to demonstrate another yummy cake to munch! Mum is more than happy to watch this cutie before he disappears to school next year.
Add 2 tablespoons of margarine, 1/2 a cup of caster sugar and grated orange zest (around a tablespoon) to a mixing bowl and stir together. Add 2 egg yolks, one at a time to the mix.

Stir in 100mls of milk and 1 cup of self-raising flour
In a separate bowl mix together 2 egg whites and 1/2 a cup of caster sugar. Beat until stiff with an electric beater. To this add 1/2 a cup of desiccated coconut and a half a teaspoon of vanilla essence.
After lining and preparing a baking tin, first pour in the cake batter. Onto this, pour the egg white mixture.

Put your cake in the oven at 180 degrees C for 45 minutes.
Time to chill out in front of the TV while some yummy smells are coming from our oven!
This cake is sooo good! It has a light crunchy topping that's sweet and delicious.
It just crumbles in your mouth!
