Here's a sensational slice which is a great healthy treat for lunchboxes.
It contains loads of fibre and enough sweetness to keep the kids happy.
A perfect alternative to manufactured kids snacks.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
Grease and line a slice pan or square cake pan with baking paper and dust with flour.
In a large bowl mix:
125gm Meadow Lea Margarine
Half a cup of brown sugar
1/4 of a cup of golden syrup
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
2 eggs
Half a cup of self-raising flour
Half a cup of plain flour
1 cup of rolled oats (you can use instant too)
Half a cup of desiccated coconut
Quarter of a cup of sultanas
Half a cup of milk or white chocolate chips
Scrape into your prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes until it reaches a nice golden brown colour.
Cool in the pan and when cold, turn out and slice into your desired slice size.
Enjoy!
