Once Upon My Time Books - A Review and Giveaway...

Want another giveaway? Yes?
Thought so!
How about one for the kids? Save a bit of pocket money this Christmas with an inexpensive gift and expand their little minds.
How about a book? A personalised book?
Yes, yes and YES! (Shout that last one really loud - it feels good)!
Imagine your little one's joy this Christmas when they receive a book in which they are the star! Sound difficult or expensive? Not at all!
We recently had the pleasure to try out the unique books published by Once Upon My Time. Taite, my 5 year old was the proud recipient of a book in which he was the central character. As you can see, he's been pretty enthralled with it too!

Once Upon My Time produce books of great quality. The books are hardbound and feature your own child. You can design the book from start to finish, simply and quickly online. You choose three stories from a selection of the 12 available then enter your child's name, hair colour and type and eye colour. The program instantly produces a likeness of your child in a book to cherish forever. You can even view the entire book online before purchasing.
Themes available include counting, animals, dancing, healthy eating, race car driving and even important topics such as stranger danger.
There's a colouring book option for an identical soft cover version of your book. Your child can have some great educational fun lingering over his or her unique stories.

The giver can add a dedication at the front of the book which also allows a photographic upload. There are so many ways these books make great gifts with this sweet inclusion! I dedicated Taite's to the last of his preschool months and used a proud image of him from his kinder at Easter time. Such a cherished photo for me since he's my last little preschool boy in the family...(Whaaaaaa)!
I can imagine these books would be super for the arrival of a new sibling (from baby to a big brother or sister), or as gifts from grandparents and friends - endless possibilities. They really are the perfect gift for so many occasions.
The books are aimed at children aged between 2-7 years. They retail for $24.95 each and for just a few dollars more you can add the identical soft cover colouring book to your cart as well. Shipping in Australia is free.
These are a great gift for Christmas! I am really impressed with the quality of the books and the speed with which they arrived - we had them within 10 days of ordering. Taite is a happy boy with his stories about him too. This book is on the top of the pile of his nightly reads with Dad!

Linking up for IBOT

Does your child own something personalised?
What is it and do they love it more because it has their name on it?!

  1. what a great idea! i'm sure lots of kids would LOVE this! My son does love his books. He has a few things with his name on them, but it doesn't really seem to get him that excited. To be fair, one is a baby bath towel and another is a little square pillow, maybe a book would be far more exciting? - Aroha (for #teamIBOT)

  2. I love to give hardcover books as well... so many kids books have been converted to paperback, it's sometimes difficult to find really good classics in hardbound version. Books like these are perfect as legacy gifts for our kids to treasure always. Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

  3. I would love to make a book for my daughter so we can read it together when shes older :) I love personalised gifts.

  4. I think my niece Lily would love a book all about her!

  5. Oooh how exciting! I love a giveaway before Christmas! If all goes as I hope it will this month, I might be able to give it to my gorgeous daughter as a "get ready to become a big sister" present!

  6. I love this idea! My daughter would love having her name in it! She met one of my co-workers today who has the same name and was completely stunned!

  7. I'd love this for my son who's nearly 3. At the moment he makes me change characters names in books to his cousins and his. It'd be fantastic to have a book that really would have the correct name.

  8. What a lovely gift idea :) Thanks for a great opportunity. My daughter is getting right into books at the moment.

  9. I love these personalised books. They are such a special idea. We have a personalised leapfrog toy. Scout. I don't know if you know him. He comes with a usb and you can key in your child's name and favourite things etc. It's a brilliant idea! Thanks for a great giveaway!

  10. My friend has one as a kid, and I was so jealous - everytime I went there to play, I'd pour over it. I'd love to give one to my daughter, so she'd get that joy...(though of course, I loved my friends one much more than my friend did...grass is greener and all that!)

  11. I've been looking for so long for a personalised book to give my 2 year old son for Christmas, but just couldn't find any...oh yes, I found one but it was no where near as nice as this one. I'd definitely gift it to my son, this is the first Christmas he'll really start to understand what's going on, I can't wait to see his eyes light up!

  12. You know I've been meaning to get personalised books for years but have never been organised enough. My MIL get personalised towels and stuff for kids but it's quite expensive so I shy away from it!

  13. I need to start looking into personalised books. Raising twins can be a bit tricky in giving them individual attention so getting them a book that's especially for each of them would be something they'd appreciate.

  15. My nephew. This seems like one of those unique presents that he'll keep forever.

  16. By beautiful little boy for his upcoming 2nd birthday.
