Introducing Funky Elephant - Craft Fun For Kids Delivered and A Giveaway!

Yay! (Taite's face says it all.)
The school holidays are here and for us Mums, that means no more early rising to prepare lunches, no school runs in the car or endless washing of lunchboxes, school notices to file and so on (...and on)!
The kids are home, happy, and playing with their forgotten possessions, eating and messing on a scale more than ever.
Now a whole new set of challenges face us parents. Eventually we will be called upon to provide entertainment as the long hours of the days ahead exhaust their fast-paced imaginations.
Are you prepared for the moment when their little requests will turn into big whines? When the gloss of the freedoms wear-off? The dreaded 'bored' word will be dropped all too soon and with it comes the bad behaviour of kids without a mission.

We must keep them focussed with play!

Yay number two to the arrival of parcels in the post. Excited recipients wait patiently
(...while their blogging Mum photographs every tiny detail of their lives.
Hang in there boys this will only take a moment)!
Funky Elephant is a monthly subscription of parcels (or 'trunks') for your child / children specifically aimed at ages 3 to 7, which are perfectly geared to steering kids clear of the tedium of too much time. Inside each delightful delivery box you will find a trunk crammed full of themed craft activities to keep the kids off your back for hours.

Funky Elephant sent excited pair, Ruben and Taite, the Siblings trunk to try out. Inside there's two of everything so no fighting ensues. There were lots of 'Oohs!' and 'Ahhs!' when the lid was lifted on this colourful and exciting loot pack.

Boxes to paint and decorate, nature jars to fill and more.
Everything is here including the glue. Just add children.

Colourful instruction cards detail all you need to know to produce the themed monthly crafting tasks. The fact sheets are printed on good quality card stock and are perfect for filing away for future reference should you wish to replenish your craft supplies in future and remake anything.

Funky Elephant offer several subscription packages which are gender neutral to choose from. You can try a 1 month, 3 month or 6 month subscription. Imagine all that crafting and play based fun arriving every month for your child.
That's weekend and holiday entertainment taken care of!

Not only do the crafts themselves keep the kids occupied in the making stages, but the finished result invites further play opportunities. There is so much potential to expand on the fun and plenty to spare for their own creations as well.

Funky Elephant is a superb idea! My kids love the idea of a monthly parcel arriving just for them, which is filled with fun. Funky Elephant trunks cost $24.95 per month. The longer the period subscribed for, the greater the discount. A three month subscription is $72 and a six month subscription is worth $142.20. Additional identical materials can be included for a sibling for the extra charge of $12 per month.

There was so much joy evident between my two in the making of their crafts! There was lots of laughter, excitement and sharing in the common interest of their activities. It was really sweet to witness as a parent! These are the moments we all aim for with our kids; happy smiles, co-operation, educational fun and inspired learning.

Happy crafters! Don't worry about the mess either - there's even a plastic drop sheet
included in your monthly parcel!

My boys are clearly enjoying their Funky Elephant crafts. Here they are making their Autumn Treasure Boxes. As I write this, they are waiting for the paint to dry and already excitedly devising what they will be putting inside their creations.

I love this concept and I am impressed with the quality of the crafts offered and the fact that everything you need is right there - no trips to the stores or long shopping lists of specific items to buy. How fantastic is this idea?! These trunks would be perfect for school holiday fun and are compact enough to take on holidays with you. I would give this a 10 out of 10 for value and entertainment factor.

  13. Both my 4-year old and 6-year old would love this as they are both craft obsessed!

  14. Even though Punky is not quite at the age where she could use this, it would be brilliant to put away for her early next year. With her birthday and Christmas only a month apart I have to buy her gifts that will grow with her, or that I can out away to pull out later in the year as she grows and develops, so this would be an inexpensive way to combat that.

    1. Great idea Kylie and you know, I should mention here for everyone that I wouldn't limit these boxes to the age group suggested. My just turned 14 year old daughter (yesterday!), was keen to make the crafts too! Craft is craft and I don't think you can put an age cap on good quality fun. If you have artistic children of any age then this would be for them!

  15. Craft is huge in my house-colourful paper a glue stick, and my kids are in heaven-how awesome to have more ideas!!

  16. These look fantastic. My son is a bit old for them now, but he would have loved them a few years ago. Will recommend to a couple of my friends.

  17. We have a craft-mad girl here, it's just that I'm not such a lover of all the mess, but I'm trying to embrace it more x

  18. My 3 year old son he is just about to become a big brother and this would be great to keep him entertained.

  19. Those are really cute stuff!

  20. OMG wouldn't this be great for the holidays and keep boredom from setting in and help me along the way so I don't have to hear......"mum I'am bored" every five seconds!! Nothing worse than hearing them winged they are bored all day!!

  21. my little princess would love this. She can not get enough art products!

  22. I like to embracing my role as an Aunt by spending special times that are fun and free with my niece plus I am more willing to participate in 'messy' activities than 'Mum and Dad'.
Art and craft fits the criteria in everyway - we would be in our element with a Funky Elephant subscription

  23. I would love it for Miss(nearly)3. She loves art and craft activities! :)
