Mister Maker Around The World Plus Win A Unique 'Ask a Question' Opportunity With Mister Maker and Prize Packs Up For Grabs!

Ooh la la la la...Mister Maker!

Got to love a catchy tune and the theme from the popular children's show Mister Maker is just that - catchy! Even more addictive, is the sensational craft series that goes with it.

Yep, we're big fans of the Mister Maker show around these parts.

On weekdays at 4pm, my kids routinely plonk themselves down in front of the television as soon as they arrive home from school, armed with snacks and eager to see what Mister Maker can produce from his famous Doodle Drawers.

The kiddos have even been spotted by myself on many an occasion, dancing the shapes dance; all lined up in the lounge room and trotting away to the tune - Let me tell you now, from a Mum's point of view that's very, very cute!

Okay, okay, I too have been known to stop and enjoy this show as well because it is indeed a winning formula. I will admit to being kind of fascinated with watching the Minute Make Time (where Mister Maker crafts something special in under 60 seconds) and a wee bit excited when the race against the clock gets tight:

Can he make it in time? Will he succeed? ...Oh the nail-biting, fidgety stress of it all!

Craft is cool and nobody makes it cooler than Mister Maker. His creations are quirky, vibrant, fresh and fabulously easy to craft from basic household and crafting materials.

Fans of the show will be keen to know that Mister Maker has an exciting new DVD release called Mister Maker Around the World - Let's Go Mini Makers. We've been lucky enough to have been sent a copy to check it out.

The 95 minute DVD sees Mister Maker take himself, along with his vibrant Travelling Make Case to some of the world's most desirable destinations, including Australia. There are five fantastic episodes to keep children stuck to the screen like gloopy glue and inspired to create their very own 'Brilliant!' (insert an English accent here!) works of art.

Mister Maker Around The World: Let's Go Mini Makers runs for 95 minutes and retails for $14.95. (RRP.) You can purchase a copy of your own at ABC Shops or wherever ABC DVDs are sold near you.

  1. I love Mister Maker and so does my daughter - we saw him last year when he was filming at the Glebe markets in Sydney.... Miss Money was star struck and I think he was a bit of a hit shall we say with the mummies. He seemed like a really nice guy especially given the heat and the time taken to film each bit!!! My question is: what was your favourite country from Mister Maker around the world and why?

  2. We love Mister Maker - although I do get a bit strung out trying to source milk bottles, googly eyes and gloopy glue on demand while we're watching! I've surveyed the household and we've agreed we'd like to ask him: where does he store all his creations? I know we have trouble finding spaces for all our amazing paintings and sculptures - only so much room on the fridge! Thanks, Lara :)

  12. We love the shapes, la la la! They have so many great ideas on that show, hubby has even recreated some of them with the girls. I often hear them repeat, "I am orange" or "I am blue" when the kids make a picture. I'd ask Mister Maker what his favourite craft medium to work with is, besides gloopy glue!
