A Cutie Pie Wall Stickers Review - An Inexpensive Way to Decorate Your Child's Room Plus Giveaway

Just about every parent wishes for their special little person's space to be filled with love, laughter and happiness in such a way as to reflect their own feelings for their child. It's part of the joy that is parenthood and a fun one at that. You don't have to look too hard to find inspiring ideas to decorate a special room for your little one either. A quick browse over on Pinterest will set your heart a-flutter with ideas and likewise, nearly all parenting magazines on the market tread this well-worn topic regularly.

Have child; will decorate!

The push to embellish nurseries, bedrooms and playrooms is standard fare in the children's industry no matter what stage your kids are at; be they a baby, child or teenaged. The problem for many of us is, that while there's a common dream of decorating for our kids, there's nearly always a budget to consider too and if your life is anything like mine, (ie. real), then that budget is a very, very small one. (Pathetically tiny even!)

If you're a Mumma on a decorating mission, then you'll be excited to learn about an inexpensive, convenient and accessible way to decorate your child's nursery or bedroom to make their sleep, play and hangout spaces a true sanctuary of fun and happiness and on-par with their peers. There's no need to repaint your walls, buy expensive furnishings or accessories or feel envy for those in a more comfortable situation financially either! With decals it is possible to provide a special space for your little one and your kiddo is bound to be impressed too.

Introducing Cutie Pie Wall Stickers...from dull to ta da!

Cutie Pie Wall Stickers are a new Australian company dedicated to providing a beautiful and affordable alternative to boring, bare walls and their products can quickly transform the ordinary into the spectacular.

I was invited to road test these pretty decals here on the blog and excited I was at the prospect. We live in a modern residence and have nice interiors with neat, plain walls. As lovely as that is, I am all for a bit of a 'jazzing up' of my baby Daughter's space. She currently shares a room with us which can make her area a bit bland by default - we're boring adults! Cutie Pie's stickers are just what we needed to add some pizzazz to her bit of real estate without encroaching on our own adult style and in a way that is neither expensive or permanent.

I visited the Cutie Pie website to choose an appropriate design and decided upon the Butterflies and Flowers decals. Despite there being a huge array of gorgeous styles, I went for the ageless and traditional. In a few years, wee Celeste Tabitha will make the move into her big Sister's bedroom and I will be moving her stickies along with her. I doubted very much that big Sis would appreciate princesses on the wall though I did love them so much! That's the brilliant thing about wall stickers though - they're removable. When your child progresses and outgrows their design, no problem. It's easy and inexpensive to move up to their next level of wall 'entertainment.'

Purchasing from Cutie Pie is easy-peasy with their simplified checkout procedure. My decals arrived within around a week of ordering and came safely packed inside a re-useable cardboard tube that is compact enough for storing any unused stickers. My giant sheet of sweet designs was sealed inside cellophane wrapping too.

Cutie Pie stickers are easy to apply and failsafe. Simply peel each decal from the thick vinyl backing sheet, (they feel tacky in an electrostatic way), line it up with your intended position on the wall and gently press it into place. The decals stick instantly and there's no fuss if you make a mistake - they just peel right back off again so you can have a second go. No damage to the paintwork whatsoever and fully re-stickable! (Not really a word but I like it.)

It was a whole lot of fun to design a space for our little one that is so individual and pretty.

These wall images are a fantastic way to enliven your living space too. (Cutie Pie also offer beautiful decals for all living areas and some of them are quite sophisticated, not to mention, big and bold.) Hot tip: If you're toilet training, I think some of these on the wall in your bathroom would be a great incentive to get your little one interested in lingering...

If you have marks or dents in your walls, Cutie Pie's stickers are a fab way of concealing them. If you are renting your home, you can make it feel more like yours with your own personalised touch. These butterflies and flowers are only $22.90 on the Cutie Pie website. I think they look pretty amazing too!

I only popped around half of the decals on our wall as I didn't want to overdo it on the decorating front. This new amazing look took me under five minutes to complete. I did have a cheaper brand on my wall before I applied these which I had picked up at Spotlight on a bargain table for around $2. Cheap is as cheap does however and the earlier ones curled at the edges and felt papery in comparison to these. Cutie Pie's decals have a transparent background too and look swish with an almost painted-on effect. Much classier!

As happy as I was with the results, the proof is in the pudding as they say and so I brought in the Little Miss to check out her opinion on her busy new décor.

Happy indeed!

While admiring Mummy's 'artistic flair,' my bubba blurted out "Flower!" making these beautiful pictures educational too! Words just keep on pouring out of this one lately.

That's Celeste actually saying "Flower" in this picture! Yep I caught that on camera! Pure Mumma joy!

You can get massively creative with these decals. I placed a few leaves behind my framed prints and it really made them pop; like they're a part of a beautiful garden.

Totally loving the new look. This is one child's accessory worth every small penny and I really do encourage you to take a quick squiz for a design to suit your own child's age, stage and your home (and teeny, tiny budget!) on their website. It's easy to navigate your search and there's free shipping site wide as well as a money back guarantee. Honestly, the hardest part for me was choosing a single design and refraining from buying more!

  1. So cute! I've used wall decals to decorate both of my boys rooms and I just love them. They are so easy to put up, add some colour and excitement to their rooms and they both love them.

  2. We don't have bedrooms as such, we have one big space where we all sleep. Its funny not to have a door anymore or four walls separating our bedroom from our sons bunkbeds, but I have gotten used to it.
We have decorated our youngest sons bunk bed wall with stickers, but he is now 9 years old and outgrown them!!
And our 12 year old wants to add his personal touch to his walls but we were not sure what to do - will be checking out Cutie Pie Wall Stickers for inspiration and ideas.
Love your baby space in your bedroom :)

  15. My daughter is a real girly girl and would love to have her room decorated with Cutie Pie wall stickers. As we are renting there is only so much you can do to decorate a room and I don't like banging nails in all of our walls. These beautiful wall stickers would be perfect!

  16. my granddaughter has just gone into a room of her own, and being able to make it hers is very important as she has been sharing with her younger brother.

She adores real girly things and when she saw her older girl cousins' decals she was instantly wanting some for herself

  17. As a toddler our then Miss 2 decided to do her own redecorating of the walls. She pulled off the wall frieze the length of her cot and smeared it with POO. Well the poo washed away but the wall remains with a big section that is undecorated. It really does look awful and unfinished. That was two years ago and I still haven't redecorated. I really should do something to revamp it and would love one of these vouchers to urge me to get my act together.

  18. I was really hoping they would have some under the sea stickers for the mermaid room I am creating for my daughter, but in the absense of Jellyfish and shells then the Batman sticker set for my boys emerging Super Hero bedroom would add that little bit of "Holy underpants Robin!" that I've been looking for

  19. My kids share a room. With four big brother, my daughters space gets taken over very easily. I'd love to define it a little bit more with these stickers and give her a little bit of pink and girly.

  26. I really don't have much in the way of 'pretty' things on the walls in my girls rooms. These would brighten up the walls and give the feel of a new room and I am sure they would LOVE them. I have been stung before with the cheap wall decals, even peeling and falling off the wall. Annoying! Love the look of these and the great price :)
