How a Selfie With Aussie Grapes Can Support HeartKids Australia The #Caesarselfie Campaign...

*This post is brought to you in collaboration with Aussie Grapes.

Did you know that in a single day in Australia, eight babies are born with a heart defect?

That's a huge number of little people in need of a big hand.

And while we're speaking of hands, by buying yourself a big handful of grapes and taking a simple selfie, you can help a truly worthwhile cause.

Australian Table Grapes have teamed up with HeartKids Australia to help raise awareness and funds for this special cause.
Why grapes?
Grapes contain many essential nutrients to aid heart health being naturally rich in phytonutrients such as resveratrol, quercetin and cetechin which are all powerful antioxidants. Grapes are also rich in vitamin C, B6, potassium, copper, iron, phosphorous and thiamine. The skins and seeds of grapes are a great source of fibre and magnesium which means, in all, grapes are great for your heart.
So here's exactly how you can help raise awareness and funds for this valuable cause:
Get yourself a bunch of Aussie Grapes.
Snap yourself with your bunch of grapes and tag #CAESARSELFIE #GRAPESFORHEARTS #HEARTKIDS then share your pictures on your Facebook or Instagram accounts.
Summon three of your friends by tagging them in your photo to snap their own #CAESARSELFIE.
Too easy!
To make a donation to this worthy charity, visit the official page and find out more about how you can participate. You might like to start a #CAESARSELFIE Team: Get your work mates or friends involved by hosting a Toga party, host a grape and cheese get together or a grapes breakfast event for example.
Get inventive, get together and get behind this fab cause to help raise awareness and funds while having fun.

  1. Thanks for bringing #caesarslife to my attention! I wasn't aware of it at all. I know of a family who lost their son due to a heart defect. He was a beautiful boy called Tim or as we all affectionately called him 'Timmie'. He went to kindy, preschool and school with my twin boys. Over the years we knew him, he had multiple surgeries. We were all devastated when over the Christmas school holidays just before the year he started high school, he passed away in his mothers arms. Such a sad waste of a beautiful life. I'll get myself a bunch of Aussie grapes! xo

    1. That's so sad. Thank you so much for sharing your story here - it really gives some gravity to this good cause. x

  11. Shared! What a pity fermented grapes weren't so good for your heart. I suppose red ones are... in moderation. Love the pics of your kids and you. You look as though you have a bit of Irish heritage?? A very good cause too.

    1. LOL! Yes fermented can be good for you last time I heard - it's a bit hard to pose a Caesar selfie with the liquid variety though! Please don't let that stop you!
