Luna Blu Bags Olivia Nappy Bag Set in Indiana Rose Review Plus A Special Reader Offer #SLHFeaturedThursdays

Have you discovered Luna Blu yet?

Luna Blu is a company founded by two best friends who share a passion for shopping and sourcing lovely things. Their business specialises in beautiful printed oil cloth bags and accessories and they have so many stunning carry options to choose from in their online store.

You've really just got to check it out if you've a passion for bags!

Their very newest addition to their gorgeous store, is the stunning Olivia bag in the Indiana Rose design and this bag is the first of their line touted as a dedicated nappy bag by Luna Blu.

Some of you may have read about Luna Blu here in the past when I reviewed the stunning Megan in Windsor bag. If you've not read this post, you can catch up on it here.

While so many of Luna Blu's bags have been embraced as nappy bags by thrilled parents, the lovely Olivia is the first of their designs to include all the essentials and features mums look for when seeking the perfect companion to their role.

The Olivia in Indiana Rose is a fresh print that is extraordinarily pretty. The bag is so lightweight without compromising on the quality or features that mums want in a fully functional and practical baby bag.

The Olivia looks quite English or French - very spring - so pretty!

Being crafted from oil cloth is a huge plus when it comes to a bag designed for use around children. Oil cloth is water resistant and wipes up a treat if there are any unexpected spills. It also won't be damaged by rain - a consideration if you are using a leather bag by comparison.

Prettiness aside, the Olivia is a great baby bag for so many reasons. Apart from its durable exterior, there are attractive and quality, swivel burnished brass clips for easy portability, so there's no fussing with twisted straps while you chase your active toddler!

Strong cotton canvas shoulder straps keep the bag comfortable by your side as a tote or you can use the detachable long strap option as a messenger. I like that the long strap is so lightweight that you don't have to remove it to lessen the load if your bag is well-packed. (I have had to do this with other bags before to reduce the bulk.) This means you can leave the strap on all the time and that equates to more freedom when you're in a rush - just toss it on your shoulder or pram and go.

Yay! The Olivia even has removable stroller straps!

I totally adore stroller straps on any bag as a mum and they can make a great difference when it comes to being comfortable. Babies and young kids seem to have a knack for keeping you fiddling when you are out and about and if you have to keep bending over to reach into your baby bag for endless stuff, it can be quite uncomfortable on your back over time. Stroller straps not only keep your bag secure but they place it at an ideal height for rummaging for your keys, wallet, sippy cups and the like.

Pockets are plentiful in the Olivia too. Storage options are essential in a baby bag and the more pockets the merrier (I say!).

On the exterior of this bag, there are two huge pockets on the front and one very large compartment on the back and all secure with magnetic closures. You could easily fit a tablet pc or an iPad Mini in any of these pockets. Also a great place to stow your wallet and phone.

Inside are nine pockets large enough for sorting the plethora of items motherhood sees us carting: Bottles, biscuits and snacks, spare clothing, wipes and so on. There's a key clip too within one of the pockets (an absolute essential), as well as a matching oil cloth change mat, all tucked into the luscious baby-blue satin-like interior.

Matching change mat included.

The Olivia features genuine leather trims to add a touch of class to an already beautiful bag and closes securely up top with a full length zipper and leather clasp feature.

Finally, a baby bag that's safe around the much-adored babycino!

This is a baby bag that will see you through your baby days and on into the future. Being made of such a resilient and versatile fabric, (oil cloth is a coated canvas), this bag could easily travel with you anywhere and would make an ideal baby bag for beach trips.

The Olivia Nappy Bag Set in Indiana Rose retails for $129 which is a good price for a mid-range nappy bag. You can also purchase the bag on its own without the additions that make it a baby bag. All the inclusions are available separately if you prefer or require replacements. (Or if you wish to adapt any of Luna Blu's extensive range into a baby bag.)

This is just one of the beautiful designs you can find at Luna Blu's online store.
