Nature's Care Paw Paw Review - A Skincare Range for Families Exclusive to Woolworths and a Giveaway! #SLHFeaturedThursdays

Bath times are a pretty big deal at our house. There's never a moment where I have to beg or bribe the younger kids to climb into a nice warm bath, especially in winter. They're there, bobbing about as soon as they hear the tap running, all of them giggling, squealing and throwing their clothing everywhere in the excitement and anticipation.

In the cold of winter my kids prefer a very warm bath together; one full of bubbles, toys and plenty of fun. It's a chance to catch-up after the long school day, play, socialise and get up to some fun and mischief. (Splashing water over the edge of the tub is a favourite game and not one of them ever owns up!)

Getting my kids clean and sparkly-warkly in the thick of winter is a real challenge for me though. My three youngest boys come home from school each day covered head to toe in mud. (I'm really not exaggerating - they're filthy!) Then there's the Texta all over their hands, Nutella on their faces and general grime that I know is adhered to them all over, both seen and unseen.

While bathing is a game to the kids, to me, it's serious work and in the process of cleaning them, I have to be careful about my kids' skin, as they're all fair and sensitive types, prone to eczema and dryness in general. So while I'd love to scrub them silly to remove the day's muck, instead I have to find gentle products that allow my little 'bathtub buddies' to soak good and long without harming themselves in the process.

Bath times are always good and long at our place! And so they should be...

Natural products are definitely the way to go for us. Especially since the youngest of the family has lately, been floating about with the bigger kids at bath time. These are some cute times these years!

We were asked to try out a new range of all natural body products available exclusively through Woolworths. It's a beautiful range of Paw Paw based skincare products by Nature's Care. These are products aimed exclusively at babies and grown-ups, but in our house, anything baby-care is something for everyone regardless of age.

Nature's Care bath time essentials: Inexpensive, pretty and natural.
Paw Paw is an ingredient long held in esteem by sufferers of skin conditions and parents of young babies. It's a tropical fruit with powers of healing and protection and I've met many mothers who swear by it over the years. Admittedly, I only tried my first tube of Paw Paw ointment when I had baby number six and with good results.

The Nature's Care range is lovely. So far we've dabbled with the lot and it is so well priced and accessible being an easy to replenish supermarket buy. (It's darn pretty packaging to look at too don't you think?!)

About the range:

Nature's Care Paw Paw Baby Shampoo and Body Wash 500ml: What parent doesn't appreciate the convenience of an all-in-one product to speed through bath times while being kind on even the smallest family member?

I am impressed with this product which comes in a generous family size. There are no nasties, it is 100% soap-free and PH balanced while being enriched with Paw Paw extract to clean and moisturise the natural way. It smells delicious too. This is a pocket-friendly $8.99 and it's great to know that the kids are floating about in shampoo residues after a hair wash that are actually good for their skin. (While hopefully washing them a little more too!)

Nature's Care Paw Paw Baby Balm 100g: The ingredients in this balm read like an expensive department store buy - natural and high quality. From beeswax to sunflower seed oil, Paw Paw, silica and natural vitamin E. This smells divine and is entirely free from petrochemicals. (The entire range is petrochemical free.)

This is the perfect finish post-bath and can even be used by breastfeeding mothers between feeds! $6.99.

New and impressive mummy must-haves.

A new handbag must-have - Nature's Care Paw Paw Balm 30gm. A yummy concoction of shea butter, jojoba and macadamia nut oil are just some of the natural wonders in this cream suitable for intense moisturising. I am loving this and it's the perfect take-anywhere size with a small price tag of $5.99.

Lip balm... easily my favourite of essential winter products. I don't leave home without one - usually two. (One tucked away in my nappy bag and one in my pocket.) My lips really suffer in the colder months and without one of these at hand, I'd be lost, miserable and sad.

Nature's Care Paw Paw Lip Balm

I am fussy about lip care too. Any old lip balm won't do and I always opt for the natural lines which can see me really paying out to keep my supply going. (I like the indulgence of them.) Add a toddler who has an unnatural attraction to drawing on my mirrors with my precious lip balms and things can get outright pricey too. Grrr!

So pleased to see an all-natural lip balm that doesn't cost the earth at $3.99 and one that really works. (It even tastes kind of good in those 'I accidently ingested something inedible' moments one typically has with lip care products.) This balm is glorious and effective and has a good applicator for fuss-free application. I like it a lot. In fact I really like the whole range a very BIG lot!

Give these great skin care buys a go and try it for yourself next time you're at Woolworths. (The Nature's Care Balm and Lip Balm are also available at Priceline stores.)

  13. ***I forgot my name - Juanita Torr *** Never go to sleep with your makeup on - night-time as you sleep, this is when your facial skin regenerates and breathes and gets to work on staving off age, so you need your skin clear of dirt and crap, cleansed, toned & moisturised for the perfect touch of TLC.
