PramBasket Review - Carry More on Your Pram in Style Plus Win a Prambasket! #SLHFeaturedThursdays

You can never have enough space as a mum, be that either away from your kids for some me time, or in terms of storage. (Just being honest on that first point!)

Motherhood entails so many roles and one of them that stands out no matter where you find yourself, is the role of a pack-horse!

Babies, toddlers and kids of any age from there-on seem to require an endless supply of stuff to cart when you're out and about. Nappy bags, tote bags, strollers and prams and even shopping jeeps are something that accompany you everywhere from the moment you step outside with an entourage of little people. Juggling it all is definitely an art and none are better at the balancing act that it is, than us mamas.

Thankfully, prams have us covered somewhat with a decent undercarriage basket on all models that is specifically designed to ease the burden. However, I still manage to overload my pram frequently with the family's needs. Hit the shops for more things and a tricky situation is rendered a circus act.

No doubt, in your time as a mum, you've toppled your pram by overloading it at some stage? (Truthfully, I've personally done this too many times to remember!)
So I am pleased to preview here, the perfect solution!

This is a Prambasket. Prambasket is a brilliant mummy invention, born from the desire to combat the 'shopping with an overloaded pram and struggling scenario' we're all too familiar with.

The Prambasket is designed to slip over the handlebars of most prams (this one is mounted on the gorgeous Cybex Priam pram which we reviewed here recently) and sit above the pram's undercarriage where it becomes a second storage compartment - only better, because this one lifts on and off your pram and is able to be carried, folded and stowed when it's not required.

The Prambasket provides a huge amount of flat-bottomed storage space which effectively doubles the capacity of your pram to carry your loads. This will keep you organised beautifully when you are on any outing and reduce the mess of things ordinarily dangling from your pram. (You can still fit your nappy bag onto your pram above the Prambasket if you desire too - even easier with Pram Hooks.)

Despite its generous size, the Prambasket doesn't drag on pram wheels or weigh-down your pushchair dangerously like the other alternatives you've no doubt tried. Prambasket is designed to work with the gravity of your pram and for this reason is best strung low - just above your pram's undercarriage.

Prambasket is not only a collapsible accessory that packs away flat when not required, it is also fully insulated and completely waterproof inside and out, protecting whatever you carry from the elements. Stow your shopping, use it as a nappy bag or just cart your own things like food, photographic equipment and parcels. It all fits neatly inside and your pram still looks great!

The fact that a Prambasket slides on and off your pram is wonderful! It's so easy to use and doubles as a comfortable carry on your shoulder or in your hand complete with a padded shoulder strap. I think this is a perfect family picnic basket too!

The easy open lid of the Prambasket can be detached completely, so that while you shop, it's not unlike a supermarket basket. (In fact, it is designed to be the same size as one and can hold up to 8kg!) There's loads of space inside with extra pockets for all of your most important possessions and one big space to stuff to your heart's content with whatever your family can throw at you!

Plenty of room for groceries inside: It may not look it but this can hold milk, several loads of bread and vegetables.

The design featured here is the Rose and Gold Metallic Triangle Prambasket from the White Label Collection and it retails for $120. These designs are screen printed by hand and gold-foiled then finished with a genuine leather logo label. They have an almost retro appeal and are very, very pretty when they catch the sun!

Prambasket measures approx. 42cms length, 23cms depth and 25cms high.

There's some stunning designs available in the Classic Label Prambasket range too. (I adore this Peachy-Pink Tee Pee Prambasket which retails for $90.) Yep, already lusting after another...!

When you're done shopping, the Prambasket folds in seconds and dismantles for next time. It comes with its own matching protective storage bag as well. Keep it in the car or tuck it away under your pram. This is a fabulous invention and so stylish. Check out the full range on the Prambasket website to find a design that suits you.

  2. I hate when I cannot get the diaper bag out from under the pram because I have jammed it in there! (lucia saal)

  3. When the bag is too heavy, the child steps out of the stroller, and the whole thing tips backwards.

  4. I like the look of this! I think it would work even on my light stroller!
I don't drive so I'm always working out how to work my poor pram into the ground!
This could help stop it tipping over too, with the weight distributed down low!

  5. what frustrates me the most is you cram it full then you can't fold it down for the boot without unpacking it all first

  7. My bag gets stuck when I've overfilled the pram tray. Then when I finally pull it out, everything goes flying!

  8. I can't tell you how many times I've juggled bags all over my shoulders/back/pram and how many times I've dropped the entire contents of things because the bag has burst or dropped. I do have a tendency to over fill so I think I'll be needing one of these gorgeous Prambaskets. What a terrific invention!

  9. Oh man, I HATE overfilling my pram!! The worst is when you manage to get things shoved in there, but then they just don't seem to come out easily! And you have people waiting for your car spot, and your kids are already in their car seats crying... yeah, that's not so fun!!

  10. Oh my! I have been lusting over a Prambasket for quite some time. I love its versatility and the gold foil! With 2 kids and a double pram I can't tell you how helpful this would be

  11. Hoping this time my comment works as I LOVE your Prambasket. Solid square is idea but that is folds down also is perfect.
So happy to find you as I gave away all my goodies from bubba one and now we have a surprise of bubba 2.
I use to hate not being able to see everything in the bag because it would all fall ontop of each other.
Thank you for the opportunity <3

  12. I hate it when things start falling out off your over stuffed pram when you try to get on or off the bus!

  13. Why didn't they ever have these things when my kids were babies? That's pretty nifty!

  14. I stuffed the underneath tray FULL and as I walked to the checkout the latch that holds the back rail up let go and all my cans rolled away and everything popped out. Not a single person stopped to help. When I got home I realised 2 items were missing and had to go back. Makes you hate prams when the items were for your own birthday cake you had to make for yourself.

  15. This is so cool! Unfortunately, I rarely use the pram but it looks like it has heaps of room in it.

  16. Oh I love this! I carry a laundry basket around in the car with all my supplies for my little ones, and then when I get the pram out of the boot, I place nappies and wipes in different pockets of the pram in plastic bags. Not a good look. The Prambasket looks absolutely divine and is definitely what I need in my life! (Lauren Paris)

  19. I was thinking it would be perfect for a picnic basket. I want to know if it will fit on my bike! I used to hate having to dig around for things in the undercarriage basket of the pram. It would get worse if I was shopping as more stuff got put in there. Gee they have some awesome designs!

  20. Putting items into the pram underbasket I cant stand the incriminating glares from shop staff and security accusing me of theft! I basket specifically for my goods would help me retain my innocence.

  23. My overfilled underbasket frustrates me when I try to fold the pram with one hand, holding bub and shopping with the other, trying to squeeze into a crowded bus that I had been waiting for the past half hour!

  24. (Kelly Rowe). What frustrates me is that every dog out for a walk sticks their nose into the stuff I have there. Not only is it unhygienic but so many smaller items miraculously disappear into doggy mouths

  25. Rosemarie De Bari- I generally pack the pram before I put the baby in - which sometimes leads to a pram that does not recline due to such a lot of stuff, and a very cranky baby. Or if we go on a picnic, the baby gets carried as she simply won't fit in the pram!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Judith Senese: having everything fall out because the button's keeps the basket up has come undone.

  27. Love this idea. Have had many stroller overflow events but library books falling out and sliding down the escalator was a particularly memorable fail.

  32. I hate trying to fit things into my pram, especially when the seat is reclined - I can't fit anything decent in there! Very frustrating as we often walk to the shops for grocery top-ups. A PramBasket would change my life :) (Stacey M)

  33. Thank you for this opportunity!!! Never had these with my previous two kiddos. This will make life SO much easier!

  34. Erin Panesar. The thing I find most fustrating with a over stuffed pram is when I have to balance whatever bags I can't fit in the basket on one arm whilst trying to hold onto my dearly needed coffee and trying not to run people over or into things. This can be made even worse with a screaming toddler who just wants to walk but mummy just wants coffee and to make it to the car or home.

  37. My pram is designed in a certain way that if the seat is in full recline, I can't reach anything in the under-seat storage! This would be a lifesaver for when baby is sleeping!

  38. I'm ALWAYS over-stuffing the pram and losing things because of it. We were on holiday in Vegas and bub's sippy-cup (the only one I'd brought with me) fell out and was lost. The only place I could find one to buy was in the Ferrari store #onlyinVegas

  39. I used to overload my pram so much I would have to carry my kid! This would be an amazing gift for my brother and sister-in-law as they are about to have baby #2 and toddlers & babies combined = loads of stuff!

  40. My pram usually looks like a shopping cart with a hidden baby inside, a bit like jack in the box when he pops his head out!

  41. Over load too much on one side and tipping over is a hazard...the old fashioned strollers were forever tipping backwards! Do love the safer styles of prams they have nowadays. As to needing a Prambasket..when we visit our three little granddaughters and take them for a walk..(we would need 2 Prambaskets)..we need to take, water, blankies, dummies, hats, cuddle toys, snacks, sunscreen...i'm exhausted before we leave! Ha Ha...we love it really :)
