Straight up, I'm going to shout that I love this new discovery for our bathroom cabinet! I'd never heard of the brand A Bit Hippy, until they reached out and suggested a collaboration. I'm all for skincare, hair care and beauty anything here on Six Little Hearts, so an emphatic yes to trying out this new, (to me), line.
A Bit Hippy is a family range of natural care products that are proudly Australian owned and made using all-natural ingredients. There are no synthetic nasties, Petroleum, paraffin oils or parabens within their luscious goodies for the face, hair, body and baby.
It's A Little Bit Hippy!
From the moment the parcel from this company arrived in my hands, I was seduced into the hippy lifestyle. Their items were dressed in a fab-design, cardboard carton that had been emblazoned with some great hippy Combi-Van imagery and messages about re-using and recycling. I was impressed by the uber-coolness, before I'd even opened it! (Apologies for the rave, but I appreciate great graphic design.)
Inside the box, the enviro story continued. Crispy brown paper wrappings cushioned our items. There were seed samples to grow. (I received kale seeds.) Even the product details were printed on crunchy brown paper. I was won over with all the care for detail.

A Bit Hippy Baby Range: Bubbles Without Troubles and Happy in My Nappy. |
We're here to talk about the real bling behind the brand though and their items just shine! (It made complete sense to photograph them in my garden surrounded by daisies.)
We were sent three items from their extensive range to road-test: Bubbles Without Troubles, Happy in My Nappy and Don't Act Your Age.
Bubbles Without Troubles from their Baby Range is clearly a bubble bath mixture and one that differs to the regular lines you'll find on supermarket shelves. There are no SLS (sulphates) within the A Bit Hippy mixture which means no harsh irritants for delicate skins. A Little Bit Hippy have used natural glucose and coconut-based cleansers in their place.
Essential oils and fragrances have also been removed to make this product super safe for baby's skin. Rice bran oil has been added to act as a moisturiser.
I'm thrilled to bits with this product! My kids all suffer eczema to varying degrees with the youngest family member developing the condition only weeks ago after weaning. Being kids, they love their bubbles at bath times and this product has replaced the cheap supermarket SLS-filled version we had been buying.
Never again with the inferior versions! This one works great. Hopefully very soon with regular use, some of the eczema incidences might abate. This product is suitable for all-ages and retails for $15.50.
With a little nappy-wearer in the family, I'm always on the lookout for a good and effective nappy cream. We power through tubs and tubes of these things monthly. I like natural ingredients and I am sure my girl's bottom appreciates them too.
A Bit Hippy's Happy in My Nappy - Nappy Rash Balm (pictured on the right above), combines the safety of edible oils with traditional zinc plus shea butter, jojoba oil and calendula. This is a non-toxic blend that is safe to use around your child and effective. Another new love addition for my nappy bag. This change-time essential is priced at $12.50.
A new treat for me came in my parcel too (Yayness!) - The A Bit Hippy Don't Act Your Age Anti-Ageing Face Moisturiser. This is a divine blend of all the greats in skin care like Olive Squalene, Starflower Oil, Vitamin C, Liquorice Root and Resveratrol. I am really enjoying this blend which is absorbed easily and is great to wear either as a night or a daytime moisturiser. This one retails for $29.50.
I also had the opportunity to try out the Soothing and Improving Soothing Moisturiser. RRP$ 18.50. This vegan-inspired cream absorbs very rapidly leaving a mat texture which is perfect for under makeup as well as leaving a supple feel to your skin for hours. It contains the benefits of aloe, liquorice extract and natural Vitamin E.
Check out the A Bit Hippy website to view the full environmentally-friendly, skin-friendly range. They've hair care, lip balms, baby care, body care and makeup (plant-based 'hippy lipsticks!) to explore. Absolutely love the idea behind all of it - I've been converted to this brand and have just purchased some more items.
