Frico Cheese, Bringing Dutch Cheese to Australian Tables...

*This product talk post is brought to you by Nuffnang and Frico

Cheese. Wonderful stuff isn't it. Just imagine the world without this amazing food. How un-fun would that be? I dread to think.

I've been a bit of a lucky blogger lately and I am kicking my excited heels with the sheer gourmet delight of it all. Some of life's finest quality foods and wines have been warmly welcomed into my fridge and pantry, providing myself and my family with some excellent tastes and experiences. (Did you check out my recent Taltarni wines score? Or perhaps yoghurt is your thing?)

Anyway, it seems so fitting, that deliveries of wine and cheese arrived together recently. I truthfully can't think of a combination I prefer more!

Tesoro Jewellery, Italy's Little Treasures. A Fine Jewellery Giveaway #SLHFeaturedThursdays

Are you, like me, growing a little tired of the endless Father's Day emails and catalogues that are currently bombarding our inboxes and letterboxes at the moment? I think I am allowed to sound a wee bit selfish when I say that this time of year is ever-so-slightly boring if you're a woman!

...Especially, a woman whose Birthday happens to fall right around the same time as this annual special men's day.

Don't get me wrong - guys, you absolutely deserve your special day, it's just, how's a girl meant to shop for gift ideas for herself, when all she can find in the stores are socks, jocks and aftershave?

First world problems people!

Nature's Care Paw Paw Review - A Skincare Range for Families Exclusive to Woolworths and a Giveaway! #SLHFeaturedThursdays

Bath times are a pretty big deal at our house. There's never a moment where I have to beg or bribe the younger kids to climb into a nice warm bath, especially in winter. They're there, bobbing about as soon as they hear the tap running, all of them giggling, squealing and throwing their clothing everywhere in the excitement and anticipation.

In the cold of winter my kids prefer a very warm bath together; one full of bubbles, toys and plenty of fun. It's a chance to catch-up after the long school day, play, socialise and get up to some fun and mischief. (Splashing water over the edge of the tub is a favourite game and not one of them ever owns up!)

EasiYo Yogurt Maker Review - Making Homemade Yoghurt is Easier Than You Think!

This post is brought to you by Nuffnang and EasiYo

I don't remember the exact moment when I tired of lugging numerous, gigantic, 1kg tubs of yoghurt home from the supermarket for my family. It might have been around the same time that my shopping cart became so overloaded on a regular basis (buying for my family of eight), that I began to look for a way to cut back on my physical shopping.

Or perhaps it was the time, (on several occasions actually), where those infuriatingly flimsy plastic tubs of store-bought yoghurt would fall from my fridge or bench and spill across metres of my kitchen floor and walls. Seriously, there just had to be a better way!

Entertaining Kids With Large Age Gaps (and Surviving)

Let me guess - you're having one of those days with the kids? You know, the usual kind: Some overly-sweet moments of pleasure which are all undermined horribly by frequent bouts of sibling in-fighting, tantrums and general malaise.

You've seen the title of this article and thought to yourself  "Yes! - Some answers, at last!"

Well, I am so sorry to say that while this post might give you a nice little break from it all; a moment to reflect, regroup and de-stress, it won't give you the answers you may crave.

What it will do, is probably leave you agreeing with me, that basically, kids are often not as much fun as the idea of them seemed, pre-children.

There are so many rules to navigate and take-on and lessons to be learnt as a parent, yes?

Curash Multi-Purpose Healing Cream and a Curash Baby Care Giveaway #SLHFeaturedThursdays

Winter is a tough time for delicate skin. Freezing days coupled with overheated indoor environments are a pretty horrid combination as far as skin goes and if you yourself have sensitive skin or young kids who do, you're bound to see the effects of this season in patchy, dry spots and eczema outbreaks.

I am one of these people and so are my kids. There's always someone in our home with dry, itchy and inflamed skin and I have been a long-term user and fan of calendula to help combat the issue over the years. (With great success too.)

Mamee Chef Saving Time For Mummy Chefs!

*This post is brought to you in collaboration with Mamee Chef.

Life's been a wee bit stressful and crazy lately. On top of the usual chaos on the home front with our bigger-than-average family (and maintaining this website on the side), my husband up and broke his hand. (It happened carrying firewood - in case you're curious.)

Talk about throw a spanner in the works!

Suddenly, my workload increased two-fold - which is no laughing matter when I was struggling along with my already generous share anyway.

No longer were there a second set of hands to help out with the bathing of kids, nappy changes, meal preparation, shopping and just the general management of our lives. It all fell on me. Yikes!

Taltarni Wines. Celebrating Life's Key Moments With a Wine Giveaway or Two!

*This post is brought to you in collaboration with Taltarni.

It's a tough life being a blogger - especially when you are asked to write about topics such as wine.
Someone's got to do it and quite naturally, (with absolutely no pushing, shoving or encouragement of any kind), I agreed - because I like to help.

You guessed it; when the opportunity to try Taltarni wines was offered, I was on board faster than you can say...

"Pass the glasses!"

(Well, faster than you could say just about anything really.)

ECCO Barra Crossbody Bag Review and Win an ECCO Leather Handbag! #SLHFeaturedThursdays

Do you wear a mum uniform? Something practical, comfortable and everyday to get you through the demands of raising your kids and running about, while still managing to make you look and feel half decent?

My winter standard 'mummy uniform,' consists of a long cardigan, tee, black pants, boots or loafers and my new favourite oversized khaki anorak from Witchery, which not only keeps me wonderfully warm, but also hides any spills or 'I have not had time to look in my mirror' moments. (Pretty much my reality every day really.)

My coat even hides bad hair days which is a real bonus in Melbourne's cold winter.

I've always said being a mum is a true sport too. It's a very physical job to rush to and from school pick-ups, shopping trips, appointments and jog the inevitable toddler chase for hours each day. It's challenging dealing with it all and having my essentials close by: My keys, wallet and mobile phone, a lippy and whatever other small items I may need to keep my engine running, is an imperative part of any daily routine for me.

Love To Dream Inventa Sleeping Bag Review and Win a Love To Dream Sleeping Bag for Your Baby or Toddler

If I were to describe a toddler in just one word, that one word would be active. Do these little folk ever stop?

Absolutely not!

They wriggle, wrangle and run their way through each and every waking hour and the fun doesn't stop at bedtime either.

Before I even launch into this review, I wish to point out that the lolly pop poking out of my daughter's mouth in a few of these images is not something I would ever normally hand to my child in bed. I took these images mid-morning, (it was not nap time) and it was merely used as a bribe to get her back into her bed so that I could grab some product shots which featured her. It worked! (Please do not ever put your child to bed with sweets.)
