Euky Bear Blitz Nitz Spray and Go. Treat Headlice the Easy Way and Win...

This post is brought to you in collaboration with Euky Bear Blitz Nitz.

Like all parents, I really loathe infestations of head lice. It's not just because of the 'creep' factor either. (Though that's certainly a large part of it for me.) It's mainly all that extra treating, washing and faffing-about that sends me mad the most. Who needs or wants the extra work?

We've been counting ourselves rather lucky of late. There have been no new outbreaks of nits around here for many months. I am pretty thrilled about that!

Over time, I have observed that my own kids seem to peak in a cycle of nit outbreaks, mainly during the school holiday periods, or during the first couple of weeks of the school term.

I reckon I'm onto something...

Royal Melbourne Show Review 2016. School Holiday Fun for Families #SLHFeaturedThursdays

It seems this spring is hell-bent on giving Melbourne a longer dose of winter for this year's Royal Melbourne Show. Just about every day since the Show opened on September 17, it has been a grey sky affair with drizzly patches, making it possibly a little less appealing for many, to venture out to enjoy this annual family drawcard.

Don't be put off however! We made the trek to the Show on day two after it opened and yes, skies were dark and there were occasional showers, but we were happy to discover that the fun was just as mighty as ever!

The Best Fluffy Pancake Recipe Ever...

We have a serious pancake addiction in our home. I don't think a week passes by where at least one family member doesn't suggest pancakes for a meal. You can't overlook hotcakes as a kid-pleaser at any time and they're more than ideal for feeding hungry children on school holidays.

I have personally always cherished a visit to the Pancake Parlour. Their pancakes are magically big and fluffy and taste divine with a side order of pure maple syrup. Unfortunately for us, the Pancake Parlour is not located nearby, so we don't get to go more than a couple of times a year. (Cue violins.)

So, see a need, fill a need. I have had to come up with my own version of copy-cat Pancake Parlour pancakes to satisfy my cravings and I am so excited to share this with you. These are super delicious!

Introducing GroupTogether - A Better Way to Say Thank You

This post is brought to you in collaboration with GroupTogether.

This family has just finished dealing with the big, bi-annual primary school production.

Boy, what a hectic time that was!

Getting our three boys prepared for their exciting school performance was a long and extensive process for all involved, both at home and school. (Thank goodness it's not annual!)

While the teachers and the entire school community worked tirelessly on rehearsals daily for around six weeks, my job on the home front, was paltry by comparison. I merely needed to run about buying the necessary clothing and props that we didn't have on hand for our sons. No doubt you know the ropes if you are a parent to a school-aged child.

Introducing Swisse Kids - Nutritional Supplements For Busy Kids and WIN!

Now that spring is finally here, it's easy to assume that the winter lurgies have moved on. On the health front, we've managed to get through the colder months relatively unscathed this year and it was a fist-pumping win for this mum. Then the cold, wet Melbourne weather hung on a little longer, and a few bright warm days collided to breed some unfortunate illnesses about our home.

Sodastream Power Review Plus WIN a Sodastream Power Worth $249! - Two to Be Won #SLHFeaturedThursdays

Every time I collect my kids from school during the warmer months, they begin bleating about the treats they hope to consume immediately, just as soon as they spot me. We're talking about the bought kind here. Forget about 'hello mum' or 'how are you?!' My hungry kids rarely care. They're more apt to ask if I brought my wallet along with me, so that they can benefit from its pathetic contents.

Magic that!

Childsmart Worlds Apart Disney Toy Box Review. Toy Storage Solutions...

*Six Little Hearts is a brand rep for Childsmart.

Have you noticed that hints of Christmas have started to appear about the place? I know - Spring has only just sprung but already, catalogues and television commercials are mentioning the big day, despite it being months away. I am feeling the fear I can tell you, so much so that I have just begun to pick up a few bits and pieces here and there as I shop. I'm also collecting useful links online with unique gift suggestions for when things get really serious.

At the very centre of my fears surrounding the upcoming Festive season, is my stress about the mess and clutter we will be drowning in this December, if we don't get on top of controlling the playthings our children already own!

How Safe Is Your Family Car? The Importance of Regular Tyre Maintenance and Win, Plus September Aussie Giveaway Linkup

*This post is brought to you in collaboration with Continental Tyres.

As parents, we've unwittingly signed-up to spend a good deal of our lives within the confines of our vehicles, as we ferry our children from one event to another, year after year. Those inevitable driving duties are an integral part of our parental role when it comes to raising our children.

Yet getting caught-up in our daily to-do's with our families, can so often result in us overlooking the importance of greater things, such as vehicle safety. Remembering to maintain your car beyond the annual scheduled service is a must and there's no better place to begin, than from the ground up.
