November already! Frightening I know. It's only so many days until Christmas now and I am shocked how fast this month has hit. Needless to say, last night I started Christmas shopping online. This year I shall be organised! (For some gift buying ideas to suit kids of all ages, see this Christmas Wish List Buying Guide.)
It's time to share the October Bellababy subscription box contents with you all here. Huge apologies this has gone up so late! We've had several unbelievably long power outages in October and numerous broadband issues which served to ice the proverbial cake. While it's all good now, eight days without electricity was definitely something to weep about. Five days without internet access on top of this, was a total endurance exercise!
October's Bellabox was packed full of useful goodies for mums and young kids as per usual. We actually had a week's holiday in October, so much of this month's box was simply packed into our luggage and whisked away on vacation for immediate use. Deluxe samples are brilliant for such things. It's just another reason why I, along with many others, like to receive beauty parcels.
I have to say, I loved the colours and inclusions in this month's parcel. There were so many pretty pastels inside! (Plus fragrances.) It was a delicious experience unboxing this one.
As usual, there were lots of new discoveries and some old favourites in the October Bellababy parcel.
Brands such as Gaia Natural Baby are favourites with many mums. There was a 125ml bottle of Baby Massage Oil to indulge in this month. This organic label is made in Australia and uses only the most natural of ingredients. Their Baby Massage Oil is presented in a base of sweet almond oil and blended with organic lavender and chamomile essential oils. It's a very fine oil, and the scent is blissful. Enjoy this for massaging your little one, or use it on your own skin. (Hint: after shaving is ideal.) The RRP for this product is $11.50 and it's available at Coles and Woolworths stores.
There are always beautiful things for mum in Bellababy boxes. I was utterly thrilled to find this deluxe sample sized Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash in a chunky 60ml. This is a two-in-one cleanser and exfoliator and it smells - blissful! (Sorry, there's no better way to describe this product's fresh, fruity scent.)
Bliss contains rose hip extract, milk thistle and chamomile. On your face, this has a very fine, gritty feel during use and it leaves you feeling fresh-faced and refreshed. This product is available at Priceline with a RRP of $29.99 for 197ml.
Makeup remover towels are always welcome in my beauty parcels. I love the ease of use of these things! There's nothing more convenient for wiping a day off quickly, than with a moist towel. These Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes will remove waterproof makeup and post use, you won't even have to rinse your face clean. You can purchase your own pack of 25 at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse for RRP $7.99.
Oh La La! Something French this way comes... Adorn Cosmetics are an entirely new find for me with this White Clay inclusion. This product gives you 100 percent pure mineral clay and it will literally brighten your day. (Especially your face!)
Inside this sachet, is enough skin goodness to last you 5 to 10 uses. If you've never used a clay before, to spruce your beauty routine, you're truly missing out. Simply mix a teaspoon of this with water in a small bowl. Make a paste and then apply to your face (or body). Clay naturally draws-out impurities from your skin, while also exfoliating and balancing. I am making a date with myself to try out this one! Available at Adorn Cosmetics.
Lovely Sukin! A great little nappy bag sized carton of on-the-go samples to take along on your errands or travels with your child. (Nothing beats minis such as these for fixing up accidents when you're out and about!)
Within this cute little packet, find Sukin's Gentle Body Wash, Baby Shampoo and Silky Soft Baby Body Lotion to try. Sukin is Australia's leading natural skincare brand and their products contain only natural goodies to keep delicate skins happy. This brand is available at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse and the entire range is very well priced.
Lastly, a big, fat, full-sized beauty from Evodia Australia. My all time favourite of products (equal to lip balms), is hand creams! This one's called - (wait for it) ...Byron Bay Frangipani.
Take me away!
A stunner of a product this one, in a giant 100ml size. No mum should be without a hand cream (or three) within any bag she carries. This 'beach getaway' fragrance is just what any woman needs to escape the realities of hard-working motherhood! Cocoa butter, jojoba, sweet almond and avocado oil combine to soothe dry skin. I absolutely love this! A 100ml tube is RRP $17.95 and you can find this cream at Evodia and Myer stores.
