Storksak Caroline Baby Bag Review and a Storksak Sandy Nappy Bag Giveaway Worth $199! #SLHFeaturedThursdays...

I just love a good chat here on Six Little Hearts, all about bags! Long-time followers will be well-aware of my serious penchant for these luxurious things. In fact, over time, so many of you have emailed to ask me exactly which nappy bag I believe is the very best baby bag out there, (of vast collection we have road tested here), that I might as well state right here, right now - they're all excellent!

Truly they are.

Choosing an ideal mum and babe bag is very much a personal taste thing. As mamas, we've all got our differing needs when it comes to finding an ideal carry-all that hits the mark for our own specific demands. Some of us have fewer children and can get by with just a regular handbag or good-sized tote. Others, (like myself), have a very large family and need a bag that can accommodate the day-to-day requirements of a busy brood.

Whatever the size and needs your unique family situation calls for, my one fundamental snippet of advice when choosing a nappy bag, is to choose quality.

Oh, go ahead and make a decision based on looks too!

Bearing this vitally important scrap of mummy advice in mind, (;D), allow me to introduce you to the delicious Storksak Caroline bag in tan.

Gasp-worthy? Yes!

Storksak are a highly respected brand who produce some of my own absolute favourites when it comes to nappy bags. (Make that bags in general.)

As a premium luxury label, Storksak manufacture several distinguished designs in superb quality leathers (and other fabrics), and they're all available in an array of fashion-forward colours. If you're looking to add a new bag to your mum wardrobe, you really can't go wrong with a Storksak by your side.

Storksak's Caroline is an example of a baby bag at its finest. The Caroline is crafted from a thick, genuine leather that is so supple and inviting to touch! This bag looks incredibly elegant thanks to its designer styling. Importantly, like all of Storksak's genuine leather bags, Caroline is built to outlast your child's childhood!

Happily, Caroline is not a heavy bag to tote, despite the generous mum-bag dimensions. (H 33cms, L 43cms, D at base 15cms.) Size-wise, I just love this.

Like the Storksak Elizabeth, Caroline is impeccably designed to sit comfortably on the body, carry on the pram, or slide beneath your child's car seat for on-the-go and that's a feature I most appreciate about Storksak bags in general. Their malleable fabrics just mold into your form (or wherever you wish to squish them), because let's face it, a nappy bag does some truly heavy-duty work during its lifetime. It's important therefore, to choose a bag that not only looks good, but will survive the rough-handling it will be subjected to: the messy changes, the tantrums, the spills and tumbles of general everyday use.
Caroline will be there for you through it all!

My needs and then some. There are six internal storage compartments to hold everything you require plus a zippered compartment in the front wall for your personals.

Let's check out the interior though, because not all bags are alike on the inside when it comes to hauling mountains of kid-stuff.

I am amazed, (just like I was when I reviewed the Elizabeth), just how much stuff these bags can lug. I want to say 'stuff' as in 'stuffing,' but seriously, there is no stuffing involved when you pack one of these carry-alls. Miraculously, there always seems to be room available for just a little more within, and the bag retains its comfort and manageability.

In addition to accommodating my own essentials beautifully, Storksak's Caroline, (like all Storksak bags), comes with her own branded inclusions within.

Inside, you'll find a matching and good-sized padded change mat, an insulated bottle holder and a detachable vanity pouch. All are luxuriously embossed statement pieces in their own right, (the vanity purse is leather trimmed), and work elegantly against the matching Storksak signature fabric of the bag's interior. Importantly, these items wipe clean of grub easily.

This accessory flaunts abundant useful features. Enjoy twin rolled leather handles for comfort in the hand as well as over your shoulder. Rich, brushed brass-toned hardware that is strong and attractive. The Caroline sensibly has four brass feet to protect its base. There are two generous outer zipped pockets on the bag's front to carry your smaller essentials, and a large magnetic press stud pocket on the rear to hold your mobile, wallet, keys or whatever.

All good baby bags should have a long strap too. Caroline has a great one which consists of a heavy cotton canvas webbing. There's no slipping and sliding with this strap. It's heavy duty and practical, allowing you to carry or hang your bag in multiple practical ways. Storksak have incorporated built-in stroller straps into this longer strap too, eliminating the need to fit separate pram hooks to your pram. You can safely attach your bag to just about any pram using these.

Strong stitching around heavy duty areas supports all that you do.

Storksak's Caroline is a very high quality bag and I rate her with equally high regard. Baby bags just don't get any better than this! The Caroline is available on the Storksak Australia website and retails for $499. This bag is worth every cent and will make an ideal weekender, office carry-all or regular handbag long after your kids have grown. For tips on how to choose and pack a nappy bag, see this post.

  3. Separate compartments are such a must for my nappy bag, so I'm not having to rummage through the bag to find what I need. And stylish, my current nappy bag is so practical, but not very pretty.

  7. After my partners last nappy bag choice I look for good stitching and NO plastic lining!! He said it would be easy to clean... it didn't last long enough to need one. I also like one with zip outer pockets. No Velcro!! Just small for a few mum things.. a packet of crackers or mints for when your sitting at the doctors waiting forever as their late again or at the hospital for the middle of the night temperature they get ONLY in the middle of the night.

  14. It looks so organised on the inside, and stylish on the outside! And perfect for travel, if you ask me!

  15. most important is that it must be the right size and have compartments as nothing worse than a bag that is overflowing and you cannot find your keys/purse etc as there are no compartments so everything gets lost in "bagland" :)

  16. I'd love to gift this great bag to my sister who is expecting her first in January. A baby bag must be BIG to hold the enormous amount of STUFF you need to carry around when you are out with baby, it must have many compartments to hold said STUFF and enable you to find the STUFF when you need it and lastly it must be stylish, because looking stylish makes you feel better about having to carry around all the STUFF!

  17. I'm looking for something that's lightweight, easy to clean, has a bunch of pockets and holds a lot of stuff (serena).

  18. That is beautiful bag and how I would love to win it! Impressed with how much fits in and the accessories included. Lots of room for all the stuff is just what is needed in a good nappy bag. Although my girls are passed the nappies and bottle stage, I still have to lug a lot of stuff!

Space is a big thing when deciding on a bag. It cant be too big and it can't be too small. It also needs to have a reasonable amount of compartments

  39. When I realized that of the challenge to carry all the essential items, a product like this would in turn make an awesome gift for that of a family friend expecting their first child! Like other's it might even be a bit early but a holiday gift like this would be awesome as I'm unable to attend the baby shower due to medical problems that wont allow me to travel such distances!

  48. I look for a baby bag that is easy to clean, because lets face it, it will get god knows what on there, the perfect size, big enough to fit everything you need in it, but not too big to carry around, and different compartments to put things in so you don't have to dig around not being able to find things.
