All babies are born with an innate desire to eat and generally speaking, eat well they do! It's rare to hear a parent complain of a lack of appetite in the very young. Babies are plump little bundles of joy and they are a pleasure to parent on every level! It's a universal fact.

Somewhere after baby's first year however, the desire to sit and eat, peters-out somewhat. It's nature's stubborn progression to lead a toddler elsewhere, to learn about their world in greater depth. While that's undoubtedly fabulous, the trouble is, their food tends to be left behind in favour of their new pursuits. Sure, kids will eat when kids want to eat, but the frustration left in the aftermath of this well-observed fact, is what drives all parents to question themselves endlessly and needlessly.

Décor Lunch Boxes and Drink Bottles Review...

I am making the most of the enormous positivity radiating from my kids at the moment. It's just term one and yet they seem so flippin' excited about everything since summer and the school holidays washed over them. Even the return to school has been one big exciting undertaking. Go figure?!

I am not entirely sure why my children are so pumped, but as a mum, I can tell you, I am feeling very happy about them feeling so happy all the time.

Maybe it's the new year's stationery, teachers and classmates, spurring on all that positive energy? Or maybe it's all those brand-spanking-new lunchboxes and drink bottles they've amassed? Either way, I certainly had no trouble gathering these two for a peek inside a brand new box of school lunch supplies, kindly sent to us by Décor for show-and-tell.

Have you ever noticed how there's an art to storing your child's playthings?: How too many toys thrown into a basket or tub will likely mean that most of it will no longer appeal to your child?
Not surprisingly, it becomes overwhelming for a youngster to stare into an abyss of clutter and mess, even when that mess is meant to be fun!

All parents struggle with toy clutter and this fact that children can become disinterested fast, if there's little order apparent in their play space. I have watched my own kids on countless occasions over the years, wander aimlessly when they had messed up their things so much so, that sets were no longer together, favourite items were missing and that sense of being overwhelmed took hold.

While we still haven't mastered keeping our kids' things tidy by a long-shot, we have managed to capture some of that tidy 'play magic' balance for our youngest with a simple piece of practical furniture.

Kids adore making art. My own are forever drawing, crafting, building and creating. It just makes complete sense to combine the joys of all of these great kids' past times into one great product.

We've been introduced to the amazing Artline Stix very recently and I promise you, this is one pack of vibrant pens that are making huge waves around here! My kids have been reaching for the Stix at every arty-moment. These are not your average markers!

It hardly seems possible to build on the fun of the drawing experience in general, but these great little educational tools have managed to do just that.

Airport Travel Tips for Families - Planning a Family Holiday Without the Hassles!

I can think of only few things more exciting in life, than to travel somewhere new. The anticipation and experience of a family vacation, to a new and undiscovered destination (or an old favourite) is truly fantastic. For kids as well, the thrilling and intoxicating excitement of plane travel, is immense!

While us adults of the family have clocked-up loads of international air travel in our pre-parenting days, we've really only ventured close to home as a family for obvious reasons. Sticking with domestic locations is both convenient and cost-friendly when you've a large brood to tow along.

One of the biggest differences about travel by air with kids is, well, everything! From the expense, planning, buying, groundwork and documentation, to the packing and arranging of the plethora of finer and important details; these are just some of the mountainous areas of work to be undertaken before you even walk out your door. It can certainly leave you with a sense of is it all worth it? But of course, we all know it is!
