Uncooked Play Dough Recipe. Makes Fun Dough in Just Five Minutes!

There are many things young kids love to do to pass the time, but it can be said that helping out in the kitchen at home and playing with play dough are right up there on their list of fun stuff to do.

I've made my fair share of play dough over the years for my children. It's a bit of a right of passage on the parenting journey. I've also bought plenty of the stuff too. While it's cheap to buy, nothing feels quite the same as real homemade dough, plus your kids think you're amazingly clever when you do it yourself!

Homemade play dough is soft, inexpensive, abundant and you can choose your own colours, plus it's a whole lot of fun to prepare. There are many recipes out there for messy stove-top versions and fiddly microwave recipes, but did you know there's also a version of play dough that requires no cooking at all?

Bellababy Parcel Review. Monthly Subscription Parcels for Mums and Their Little Ones...

You may recall I recently reviewed one of Bellabox's Bellababy monthly subscription parcels here? Bellababy is Bellabox's newest parcel for mamas and their babes. If you missed this first post, you can catch up on all the details here.

Bellabox again invited me to check out the goods in their May parcel. What a treat! We loved our first parcel and deemed it to be great value. This latest May parcel is an equally gorgeous arrival too. As soon as I lifted the lid on the pretty yellow carton, the scent that hit me was bowl-over amazing!

Included in this month's box is another wide selection of goods to pamper mums and their little ones.

Babylove Cosifit Nappy Review and Win One of Two Nappy Prize Packs! #SLHFeaturedThursdays

Disposable nappies... us parents have got to be thankful for those don't we? Imagine life without these necessary helpers, doing some of life's most undesirable things? (Some of us wouldn't have large families, that's for sure.)

Just recently our eldest daughter turned 16. Apart from the shock of those years passing by so quickly, what struck me most on the day, was the fact that we have been buying and changing nappies for all that time.

That's some significant milestone!

There's no end in sight either.

How to Teach Kids of All Ages About the Value of Saving Money

*This post is brought to you in collaboration with People's Choice Credit Union.

Teaching your children all about finances is one of the most important steps you can take as a parent. Life is expensive for us all. The sooner your kids learn the value of money, saving and money management, the sooner they can get a head-start on pursuing their dreams in the future. The small steps we take from day one, can help to set our kids on a strong foundation financially, for life.

The best thing you can do right now, is make sure you start small and be pro-active about saving with your children from a young age. It will certainly 'pay-off' in the long-run.

A Special Mother's Day Event with Holden and Kids Business Communications at Oakridge Winery - Review

It's not every day that us busy mamas have the opportunity to be swept away from the drudgery of our child-filled lives and taken somewhere completely out of the ordinary and 'adult-like' for a true pampering. It happens so rarely in fact, (for me at least) that I was beside myself with excitement (adult-like excitement), when an opportunity to do just this, arrived in my inbox from Kids Business Communications.

It was an invite for myself (and a handful of other Melbourne bloggers), to join Kids Business along with the Holden team, at the beautiful Oakridge Winery in the spectacular Yarra Valley.

Philips Airfryer Review (and Recipes) Plus Win a Philips Viva Airfryer Valued at $349! #SLHFeaturedThursdays

As a foodie, I love kitchen appliances and I cannot lie. As soon as there's a newbie on the market - something innovative, time-saving, ultra-special and life-improving in some way, I'm there, lusting after it almost immediately.

Without question, having a kitchen full of the latest gadgets makes life easier and it certainly makes the task of feeding your family faster, simple and more pleasurable. We could all do with a whole lot more of that in our modern, time-poor world!

For many, barriers in the battle toward healthy eating include a lack of time, inspiration and finally, reluctance at the thought of facing the unpleasant task of cleaning up afterwards. Then there's the concerns many of us have regarding fats and oils, as well as the juggle to make a meal that every family member wants to eat.
