Crocodile Creek® Review. Cool Gear for Kids. A Childsmart Feature...

*Six Little Hearts is a Childsmart Brand Rep.

Yay for the new school year and new school gear!
Our kids love this time of year. According to them, good things come in crunchy new packets, fashionable colour schemes and designs. As a mum, I find I am in full agreement. Choosing gear for kids is certainly a fun pursuit for all ages no matter what the occasion.

Our youngest child started Prep this year and she is currently in 'newness' overload. Every single inch of her on any school day is crisp, vividly bright and positive. Naturally her essentials are happy and colourful to match this exciting life stage.

Crocodile Creek® is a very popular brand under the Childsmart lineup, and their products for kids are truly adorable. Crocodile Creek® provide an array of colourful children's puzzles (we've previously reviewed one here), as well as backpacks, lunchboxes and drink and serving ware to please young kids.

We absolutely love this bright new school, (or daycare, kinder or wherever!) travel set for kids.

Make sure your kids have possessions that stand out in the crowd to ensure continued ownership.
Children are better at looking after their things when they can identify them easily.

This backpack is so cute! There's a magic castle and a girly-pink unicorn, even some ivy-type flocking to create a visual fantasy theme that really captivates. The quality is excellent too, with mid-weight canvas making the bag just right for little bodies to carry, also strong enough to withstand regular use - in this case as a school bag.

The backpack has a clever selection of compartments and pockets to keep kids' stuff organised. The front pocket has specially designated spaces for pens and smalls like bus passes and notices and there's even a key clip just like all good backpacks should have.

There are fully adjustable straps on the backpack and according to our little one, they're comfortable too. The addition of strong corded loops on the main chunky zippers makes this bag very easy to use where little kids are concerned.

You must have a matching lunchbox too! How cute is this one?!

This insulated carry bag is big and fun. We've no problem fitting loads of lunch in this one. There are twin easy-glide zippers and a strong carry handle.

Plenty of room and no squish factor!

Mesh pocket on the lunch tote's rear is great for extra storage of napkins, cutlery etc.

Happy school days ahead!
...And there's a Crocodile Creek® drink bottle to match! There are seven styles to choose from and they're all BPA free and Phthalate free. This bottle holds 475ml of liquid and it closes tight without spills. I wash ours in the dishwasher (because it's a good fit in there!). There's also a handle for clipping onto a backpack. This is one tough and pretty little accessory!

Take a look at the Crocodile Creek® range of kids' gear on the Childsmart website. Their accessories are delightful and come in a large range for boys and girls. (I particularly love this set - the Backyard Friends Bundle.

Parenting tip: It's wise to have a couple of school bag and lunchbox alternatives for your child on-hand to cope with the inevitable disasters of loss, last-minute spills and hidden mouldy sandwiches!

Leap Frog LeapPad™ Ultimate Review. WIN a LeapPad™ Ultimate Valued at $199.95...

Kids these days always seem to want what you've got don't they? If you have a tablet PC and their little friends also have tablet PC's, then you're bound to have a child who will hound you for one too at some not-to-distant point on the horizon.

Tech in all its forms is a huge factor in our world, (arguably for better or worse), and where kids are concerned, considerations such as safety, educational relevance and even strength are just three important points to think-on when making that first tablet purchase for your child.

Elektra Cloud9 Nap Mats Review...

Encouraging your young child to take a daily nap when they're tired can be one of the most frustrating moments in any parent's day. Little kids seem to enjoy bouncing along for hours, oblivious to their fatigue and the frustration this causes others. Successful nap times are all about finding and sticking to a routine that works for everyone and of course, having the right equipment on hand to keep the approach simple, comfortable and gentle.
