Sash And Belle Handbags Review - The Max Backpack...

With the cooler season approaching, it's time to make your seasonal handbag switch-over. The colder months require a sturdy bag that will provide protection by design from the wet, and colour schemes to match your clothing as the clouds roll in. Don't forget it must have tons of space to hold all those essentials too!

Gotta love a go-to backpack that fulfils all the needs of the season.

As a self-professed handbag-aholic, the beautiful gift of this stunning Sash and Belle genuine leather backpack - the Max backpack is not lost on me!

Backpacks are a personal favourite of mine for many reasons. Mostly I prefer them as they are extremely compact, practical, attractive and easy-wearing. For busy mums, having a functional bag that allows a hands-free option is extremely important. You just can't go wrong with this time-honoured design.

Of all the enticing handbags currently available on the Sash and Belle website, the Max Backpack was an ideal long-term choice for me. Its classic black colour means it can be easily coordinated with any fashion choices regardless of season.

The Max backpack is crafted from genuine, high quality leather that's not only thick and luxurious, but pliable and extremely soft too. Leather really lasts and looks even better with age. (Plus the smell of real leather is amazing.) This classic handbag style is definitely not going out of style anytime soon.

What I like most about this trendy backpack (besides its looks), is its storage capacity. It's a compact bag to wear and it has some terrific design points that easily trump other bag style choices for me. For a start there are huge zipper pulls that allow fast and easy access to your belongings. I loathe fumbling with delicate zippers when I am in a rush to answer my mobile or out shopping. No problems with this one though. It glides smoothly and there are no sharp zipper 'teeth' that scratch your hands like some bags can.

User-friendly 'chunky' zippers help you to accomplish things fast.

There's a comfortable carry strap for carrying the Max by hand.

There are many pockets on the Max for stashing and stowing all kinds of stuff and things. The large vertical zipper on the bag's front opens to a single-sided pocket which is great for small packets of tissues, wipes or receipts. The reverse of the bag has a similar off-centre zippered pocket which also offers quick access but with more security.

Inside, the Max is lined in a charcoal cotton with a denim-like appearance which looks very classy against the leather outer. The pockets within are sized well to meet the needs of your mobile phone, makeup and whatever else you like to carry. Against the back wall of the bag are two zippered pockets which between them, offer a third open pocket. This is great for organising extras that you want to keep contained and out-of-sight.

Approximate dimensions: 30 cm high x 27 cm across and 9 cm wide at the base.

The Max has very generous shoulder straps. The bag can be effortlessly adjusted for wear by both petite and larger frames. The strong leather straps are conveniently lined beneath with cotton webbing which helps to keep the bag firmly in place on your shoulders. There's no slippage which means supreme comfort for the wearer.

I truly appreciate this Sash and Belle Max backpack! This beautiful bag retails for $154.95 on the Sash and Belle website. If backpacks are not your thing, check out this brand for any style of bag you might prefer. Sash and Belle have well-priced work bags, everyday bags and even nappy bags to deal with the many roles women fill. Find Sash and Belle on Facebook here.

  2. What a beautiful back pack! I started using backpacks when my twins were babies so I'd have two hands free to wrangle them. Although I no longer need my hands free for that reason I still love using back packs!
