The New VTech Kidizoom Duo 5.0 Camera Review. Great Photo Fun For Kids And WIN!

Choose a toy for your child that allows them to develop real life skills. The art of photography is one such hobby that kids can learn young and continue to develop over their lifetime. There's no need to share your personal and expensive devices with your kids anymore either. With the VTech Kidizoom Duo 5.0 Camera, designed specifically for kids aged 3-9, your child can master photography with a purpose-designed device with all the basics plus more.

The VTech Kidizoom Duo 5.0 Camera is big and bright and works just like any real digital camera that adults use. For any child, the chance to own their own real working camera is a thrill. This device brings so much independence and joy to kids as they take their own images and selfies with friends and family. It's brilliant to gift the pleasure of immortalising events and functions from a child's point of view too. I promise you, you will be moved by their unique view of the world.

The VTech Kidizoom Duo 5.0 Camera features both photo and video functions with over 70 additional fun photo and video effects such as cartoon and collage effects. There are also a variety of motion control games to play that are built-in, making it an ideal device for anytime use.

Features include a built-in auto flash, a rear-facing VGA camera for taking selfies, plus a 3X photo burst mode for capturing the best shot possible. The camera has a 5.0 MP front camera for clear, bright image captures and it is easy to navigate.

Add a 16GB microSD card to expand this camera's storage to 14,400 photos or 910 minutes of footage.

Vtech's fun kids' camera has an onboard memory to store up to 140 photos as well as a microSD card slot for memory expansion. (Note that the MicroSD card is not supplied with the camera.) There's plenty of space available for kids to immortalise their party, holiday or family event.

A 4X digital zoom allows kids to explore a variety of creative photographic options.
There's further fun to be found with the voice recorder feature with voice changing effects, plus the shake-to-animate, on-screen capability to make everyday stills even more exciting.

Camera comes with a USB cable, wrist strap and full instructions. Requires 4 x AA batteries to operate.

A camera for kids needs child-friendly design. You'll find larger buttons and comfortable grips sized just right for children's hands. The on-screen features are easy to follow and all images and video recordings play back on a large 2.4" rear LCD screen for excellent in-colour viewing.

Your child's treasured images can be uploaded to any PC by connecting the camera to your computer to allow the transfer of files. There's no need to worry about losing their precious images.

Kids will love this fantastic camera for both its photographic capabilities and its fun kid features. We highly recommend this camera for kids. Our six year old totes hers everywhere and takes lots of photos just like mum! The camera is built tough to withstand the inevitable drops and carelessness of kids.

The brand new VTech Kidizoom Duo 5 .0 Camera is priced at RRP $99 and is available in either pink or blue at all good toy stores, online retailers and Big W. Please try your luck at winning your child this fantastic toy below in our generous giveaway with thanks to VTech!

  1. My kids are getting to the age where they are loving capturing precious memories with friends, family and of course our dog who always seems happy to take a selfie with the kids.

  2. Miss 6 has some new chickens and she is totally not impressed I won't let her use my good non child friendly camera??!! while she follows them around the wet back yard. She wants to climb into the chook coop and photograph them laying eggs.. haha, I'd love to see what her creative shots looked like just not with my good camera.

  6. My nearly 6 year old is taking some beautiful photos that show off her unique perspective and appreciation for colour and composition. My heart pauses whenever she asks me to pass over our camera, having her own would be a win for all! Amanda Hamlyn

  9. My daughter would take funny photos and catch the family out in unstaged (potentially embarrassing) photos that can only be seen from a childs view of the world.

  15. I would absolutely love to win this for my 5 year old granddaughter She found my 13 year olds old camera that was similar to this about a year ago when she was here and we were cleaning out. At first it worked and we could not get her to stop with it but it did not work for long. She would be over the moon to have this for her upcoming birthday.

  16. My kids are animal lovers especially bugs and creepy crawlies. If they could they would have every grasshopper, bettle or butterfly they find outside living in jars and containers in the house 🐛🐞🐜. I'd love this Vtech camera so they could photograph all the bugs they find while leaving them outside in their rightful habitat. We're also saving up for a Phillip Island trip later in the year. How excited the kids would be to snap a pic of the penguins toddling along the beach. 🐧

  17. My 7yr old son love love loves taking photos, winning this camera for him would be perfect. Then maybe just maybe I will be able to have my phone back and have it all to myself finally, instead of sharing it with a 7yr old photography enthusiast. Thank you so much for this opportunity, Steffy x
